Role Overview:
The Master and Reference Data Strategy Sr Analyst is responsible for facilitating day-to-day activities to support the strategic evolution and/or adoption of Master and Reference Data in coordination with the Data Governance team. The overall objective is to support the creation, maintenance, and adoption of a unified and consistently defined enterprise-wide Master and Reference Data strategy. The Sr Analyst will partner with lines of business and global functions to support the identification, collection, and remediation of Data Quality issues and concerns, while executing the Master Reference Data adoption strategy across all Reference data domains. This position requires an understanding of enterprise data capabilities as well as their practical application across functions in a large financial services organization.
What you'll do
1. Responsible for the daily execution of significant projects within a focus area and resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.
2. Actively drive partners in other parts of the organization to ensure end-to-end deliverables of the project are achieved.
3. Develop and build strong working partnerships and strategic relationships with key partners across businesses and technology to align implementation and operational strategies.
4. Help develop the project plan, oversee the completion of all project artefacts, and ensure the collection of all evidence required to support project completion and internal audit validation.
5. Assist teams with specific business analysis tasks including developing business flows, analyzing data, summarizing business requirements, and preparing business artefacts.
6. Identify, prioritize, and proactively manage dependencies, risks, exceptions, and issues.
7. Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
8. Identify, document, and understand project dependencies.
9. Identify key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
What we need from you
* 6+ years of relevant experience preferably in Financial Services, with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing complex transformation projects.
* Knowledge of Master Data Management and Data governance is a plus.
* Financial service acumen and/or experience to support portfolio creation.
* Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to accurately determine the length and difficulty of tasks and projects.
* Proven track record in business analysis and project management.
* Strategic thinker; able to view issues broadly, think globally, and project impacts into the future.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to partner effectively on teams through direct and matrix reporting lines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to bring clarity to challenging problems and help others embrace solutions.
* Able to leverage strong business acumen to interact effectively with a broad variety of stakeholders.
* Adaptable, flexible, and responsive to changes in priorities.
* Strong professional presence; confident in presenting balanced views to stakeholders.
* Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
