Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias)

Your New Role
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner.
* Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission new equipment and machinery. Ensure all installations comply with safety and operational standards.
* Training and Development: Train and mentor junior technicians in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Stay updated with the latest industry practices and technologies.
* Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment condition.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
* PLC and Control Systems: Program and maintain PLCs and control systems. Diagnose and repair issues related to PLCs, robotics, and automation systems.
* Hydraulics and Pneumatics: Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Ensure the efficient operation of these systems within the production environment.
* Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions. Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall production efficiency.
* Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergencies. Implement corrective actions to restore normal operations quickly.
Requirements:
* A Mechatronic or Electrical apprenticeship in a manufacturing / production setting OR a Mechatronic or Electrical apprenticeship in any setting plus at least 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
* Be prepared to work and train in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
* A minimum of an NVQ 3 in engineering (or equivalent qualification) is desirable. Experience and proven ability of maintaining plant and equipment in a high volume production environment is also preferred.
Benefits:
* A salary of up to £35750.
* An attractive days-only pattern (Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 + Friday 08:00 - 14:30).
* A benefits package inclusive of 5% + 4% pension, DIS £40000, terminal illness pay out, healthshield, sick pay, subsidised canteen, free parking.
