About the role
We seek a seasoned Senior Marketing Specialist to support the development of our European Food business strategy and drive its execution. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver category expertise, strategic planning, and creative solutions to sell our portfolio to customers.
Key responsibilities
1. Be the Food category expert – drive and support internal and external positioning of the team as category experts.
2. Develop a deep understanding of the category's past, present, and future trends.
3. Provide critical customer, consumer, geography, and technology insights.
4. Collaborate with the Insights team and third-party data providers to enhance our category understanding.
5. Identify gaps in our current capability and propose strengthening our Food category value proposition.
6. Support the Activation and Foodservice Marketing teams in developing a localized understanding of the Food category in prioritized markets.
7. Ensure accurate and optimal positioning of Kerry technologies in Europe based on robust category knowledge.
8. Work closely with the Food Senior Marketing Manager and technology teams to ensure strategic alignment and a European perspective on all global activities.
9. Align marketing activities with the needs of the Food category and regional European strategy.
10. Transfer category expertise and knowledge to Sales Teams for use in customer engagements.
11. Build stronger partnerships with selected Global Key Accounts and support growth aligned with strategic account plans.
12. Manage budget and key performance metrics against business objectives and strategies.
Qualifications and skills
1. Bachelor's Degree (essential) in Marketing, business or related field.
2. Curious, analytical, and insight-led thinking with a focus on the 'so-what'.
3. Experience in B2B or food ingredient industry within a strategic planning or insights role is an advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of Marketing fundamentals, Research, Activation, Consumer Insights, and Data Analysis and Interpretation.
5. Excellent communication skills and talent for sharing information with stakeholders.
6. Ability to quickly grasp and become proficient in new concepts, ideas, technologies, markets, tools, and ways of working.
7. Enthusiastic attitude towards interacting with different functions and participating on a multi-national, multi-functional team.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion, including multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
9. Good capability in applying quantitative and qualitative analysis methodologies, interpreting, and presenting findings in a clear, concise manner.
10. Experience and creativity in preparing and hosting successful client meetings.
11. Passion for engaging across the business, building partnerships based on trust and integrity.
12. Ability to manage multiple complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
13. Capability in thinking strategically and acting tactically.
