Powerplant Engineer Job Description at Ryanair
Ryanair is seeking a Powerplant Engineer to join our team as we expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next decade.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Powerplant/Deputy Powerplant Manager and be based in our Engineering Office in Dublin, Ireland.
The Role:
* Provide technical support to Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance across the Ryanair Network.
* Develop and oversee maintenance & overhaul specifications for engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs).
* Liaise with CFM, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, and other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) on resolving technical issues.
* Engine Health Monitoring.
* Review Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives related to engines and APUs.
* Support the Reliability section in identifying and resolving repetitive failures across the fleet.
* Ensure smooth introduction into service of the Leap Engine.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working in an airline or engine overhaul organization with a detailed understanding of EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO, and Part-145 regulations.
* Detailed technical knowledge of CFM56, LEAP, and V2500 type engines design and maintenance.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to lead team projects and drive team competency.
* Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority.
* Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Relevant Engineering Degree and/or EASA Part-66 B1 AML certification.
