Senior Cardiac Physiologist

Full time Position
Our client, an established Hospital, wishes to recruit a Senior Cardiac Physiologist in Cavan.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* The Cardiac Physiologist will undertake the duties appropriate to that position.
* The Cardiology Department carries out a wide range of cardiac investigations that include:
Essential:
* ECGs – Recording/Interpretation, and highlighting abnormal findings.
* 24 hour Holter monitoring – Patient hook up and technical downloading/ analysis interpretation.
* 24 hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring – Patient hook up and analysis of same.
* Event Recording – Patient hook up and analysis.
* Exercise Stress test – Patient hook up and interpretation.
Desirable:
* Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to include technical support for Angiograms & percutaneous Coronary Intervention and competence during emergency procedures.
* Tilt-Table testing.
* Loop recorder, pacemaker & ICD interrogation.
* Trans-thoracic echocardiography.
1. The Cardiac Physiologist will also be expected to carry out the following:
* Performing the procedure or examination, report and highlight abnormal findings.
* Calibration and routine maintenance of all equipment, which includes sterilisation where necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
* Possess the MPPM Certificate and/or MSCST qualification from the Society of Cardiological Technicians or equivalent.
* Be an associate of the Society of Cardiological Technicians.
Essential Experience:
* A minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar environment.

* Have excellent supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative when required.
* Be able to demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the Hospital.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Proactive, enthusiastic and innovative.
* Ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities in a proactive and flexible manner.
* Leadership skills.
* Good IT skills.
