We have an exciting opportunity for a Lobby Supervisor in Supermac's The Portlaoise Plaza.
The Lobby Supervisor assists the overall Manager in the smooth running of the lobby/seating area, providing leadership to their team, dealing with the day-to-day operations, people management, and all aspects associated with successfully supervising the lobby area in a fast-paced environment. The Lobby Supervisor greets and facilitates the customer experience by maintaining an efficient customer flow and informing customers of menu options, the latest promotion offerings, and communicating feedback from customers and informing staff of menu or operational changes.
The Role:
* Supervising and motivating their team
* Taking full ownership of the lobby area
* General marketing and promotion of the Supermac’s and other Plaza brands.
* Performing marketing and other promotional services (i.e. flyers, vouchers, etc).
* Implementation of company policies and procedures and following guidelines.
* Adhering to all aspects of health and safety legislation, food safety legislation (HACCP), and company policy ensuring your own safety and the safety of colleagues and customers.
* Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and neatness ensuring full uniform is worn at all times.
* Ensuring tables and condiments are kept clean at all times and that condiments are well stocked.
* Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner - You must be able to have banter with the customers.
* Interacting with customers and giving creative suggestions regarding our food menus; making the conversation with the customers lively.
* Confirming with the manager about the parties and events that are going to be held in the restaurant.
* Ensuring that all lobbies of our restaurant (including outside of the restaurant) and toilets are kept clean throughout restaurant operations.
* Ensuring that the lobby and serving areas are properly set up, clean, and tidy.
* Having a sense of urgency regarding the cleanliness of the lobby, ensuring tables are cleared immediately.
* Communicating with all customers to ensure quality satisfaction with both food and service.
* Responding to any customer complaints and bringing any issues to the attention of the Manager/Supervisor.
* Communicating with Management, kitchen staff, and customer service staff to ensure effective customer flow.
Person Specification:
* The Lobby Supervisor must be able to provide excellent customer care to the public.
* You must possess exceptional communication and positive representation of the company.
* You must be able to participate in a team-oriented environment.
* You must be energetic, approachable, friendly, outgoing, and courteous.
Required Skills:
* Previous customer service in the hospitality environment preferred.
* Interpersonal skills.
* The ability to recognize problems and potential conflict with both customers and staff.
* Product knowledge.
* Analytical skills, i.e. the ability to think logically.
* Supervisory skills.
