Quantitative Analysis Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced quantitative analyst to join our Risk Analytics Department.
About the Role
The Risk Analytics Department is a central function within AIB, responsible for developing strong credit and financial risk measurement and decision-support throughout every aspect of our businesses and control functions.
Key Accountabilities:
* IFRS9 Model Development: Lead end-to-end IFRS9 ECL model development projects with wide applications, such as RAROC, and Strategic Planning.
* Analysis & Insights: Lead complex data analyses, investigations, and/or modelling of business issues to improve bank management, services, and products.
* Leadership & Talent Development: Manage a team of quantitative analysts, coaching them in technical skills and core behavioural competencies.
* Cross Team Collaboration: Provide specialist advice to the business on risk management requirements and their impact.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders across Business, Finance, and Risk to deliver solutions to business problems.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of end-to-end IFRS9 model development/validation experience and strong knowledge of market practices.
* Good understanding of business context and portfolio dynamics in specialised lending portfolios.
* Strong engagement and communication skills across various audiences, including senior management, business and credit teams.
* Leadership and coaching experience for senior analysts and analysts.
