Position Overview
This HR Manager opportunity is a 12 month maternity cover contract, partnering with the senior management team to provide Human Resource strategy and services across all business functions (multi-site operations) to drive business growth, innovation and organisational effectiveness.
Reporting to the Group HR Director, you will lead the HR team in the provision of a full range of HR activities, including responsibility for industrial relations and organisational change programmes. The role requires experience within unionised environments.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Strategy: strategy planning and decision making, lead the development and execution of the people strategy across the business.
* People Management: Develop and lead the HR team
* Employee Resourcing: Develop appropriate resourcing strategies to meet business requirements and manage the end-to-end recruitment process, talent acquisition, on-boarding and retention.
* Talent Management: Co-ordinate the development and maintenance of Talent Management strategies aligned to business strategy
* DE&I: Promote our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion agenda across HR processes, helping create an inclusive culture where employees feel valued for their contribution.
* Employee Relations: Ensure effective management of all ER issues, including disciplinary or grievance processes.
* Industrial Relations: Work in conjunction with the General Manager and HR Director to lead the IR agenda, planning and delivering organisational change initiatives.
* Continuous Improvement: Promote best practice people processes and systems as part of HR’s approach to Continuous Improvement.
Previous Experience
* 10 years+ generalist HR experience that will have given you in-depth knowledge of employment legislation, principles, policies, and procedures.
* Experience leading negotiations and delivering change within a unionised environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
* Proven team leadership skills and effective as a problem-solver.
