Deputy Head of School, Health Sciences
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, an excellent academic record and experience of working across a broad range of relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head of School in the management and coordination of activities to achieve the School's strategic direction
* Contribute to strategic planning and direction and participate in committees including the Academic Council and Academic Leadership Team
* Guide and support Faculty in the development, delivery, management and evaluation of the College's programmes, personnel, resources, and activities
* Ensure a high-quality student experience and effective communications between the student and the College
* Oversee program and course accreditation transitions, conduct faculty inductions, promote excellence in teaching, learning, and research
* Plan and evaluate School programmes and activities, conduct regular reviews of the School, including examination of integrating mechanisms with other programmes
* Develop strong internal/external networks and strategic alliances and promote the visibility and reputation of the School nationally and internationally
* Maintain plans for the staffing needs of the School, ensure administrative efficiency and effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
* Qualified to level 10 on the QQI national framework of qualifications or close to completion
* Excellent knowledge of policy, curriculum in the field of education IACP accreditation for 5 years preferred
* High level of competence in communication and interpersonal skills demonstrating excellence in diplomacy and negotiation
* Self-motivated leader with a proven record in effective team leadership and management and the ability to motivate and empower others
