RBK is seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant on behalf of our client, a major motor retailer in the Midlands.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for Year End:
1. Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
2. Prepare comprehensive documentation supporting year-end financial statements.
2. Bank Reconciliations for All Bank Accounts:
1. Perform regular bank reconciliations for all company accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
2. Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and reconcile banking activities.
3. Assist with Preparation of Daily Cashflow Forecast:
1. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain a daily cashflow forecast.
2. Monitor cash movements and provide insights to support effective cash management.
4. Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions:
1. Assist in the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
2. Work closely with relevant teams to address any financial discrepancies or issues.
5. Assist with the Preparation of Annual Statutory Financial Accounts and Audit:
1. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
2. Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Ensure All Accounting Records Are Up to Date and Reconciled:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
2. Reconcile financial data regularly, identifying and addressing discrepancies promptly.
7. Assist with Accurate and Timely Submission of Monthly IFC Data to BMW Ireland:
1. Work closely with the team to compile and submit monthly IFC (Internal Financial Control) data to BMW Ireland.
2. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
Profile:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
3. Proven experience in financial accounting roles.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
7. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
