When submitting your application form, you will be asked questions on which area of our business you wish to join. You will be allowed to state a preference for the business unit and team (if you wish), which will be considered as part of your application.
EY is split into two areas:
* Non-Financial Services Clients (UKI): Industrial, Commercial & Technology Clients including Automotive & Transportation, Government & Public Sector, Health & Life Sciences, Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Real Estate, Hospitality & Construction, Technology, Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment.
* Financial Services Clients (FSO): Clients specialising in the Irish and International Banking, Wealth and Asset Management, Insurance, Aircraft Leasing and Structured Finance sectors.

Throughout the 8-week Summer Internship programme at EY, you’ll receive a wealth of training in your chosen area to ensure that by the end of the summer, you will have gained skills to last you a lifetime. We also want to provide our interns with opportunities to expand their skillset and build their network.

What to expect
* Day One: After a comprehensive induction, you will begin your journey as an intern within our Strategy & Transactions Business. You will be assigned a buddy on your team who will help you get settled in.
* Your Role: You’ll work as part of a team, meet with clients, and contribute to EY projects. You will develop analytical and problem-solving skills, learn how to network, build working relationships, and manage projects.
* Work/Life Balance: We want to furnish our interns with the skills needed to manage their workload and create a healthy work/life balance. You will be invited to join sessions on wellbeing topics and social outings.
* Get to know EY: You will have the opportunity to attend deep-dive sessions into Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Consulting teams.
* Compensation: The EY Summer Internship programme is fully paid.
* Future Opportunities: If we’re impressed with your work and you are interested in a career at EY, we may offer you a graduate position!
Once you apply for the Summer Internship programme in Strategy & Transactions, our teams will review your application and if successful, you will be invited to interview with EY for one of the below areas:
Lead Advisory: Provides strategic and financial advice to business owners and shareholders.
Restructuring: Services aimed at assisting under-performing clients to achieve a strategic turnaround.
Strategy: Helps clients answer their most complex strategic questions.
Transaction Support: Provision of financial due diligence services for clients considering acquisitions or sales.
Skills and attributes for success
* A minimum 2.1 or higher in your chosen Bachelor’s degree
* A client-oriented, professional services mindset
* Exceptional execution and delivery mindset
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Great attention to detail
* Proficiency to manage several projects simultaneously
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure
* Aptitude to present on subject matter areas to an audience
* You demonstrate integrity, respect, and teamwork
* You have the energy, enthusiasm, and the courage to lead
