We are a business law firm with extensive knowledge and experience in the following sectors: Energy; Technology; Financial Services, Built Environment and Healthcare & Life Sciences. We are seeking a legal executive to support both our internal Legal Department and our Client Service team. This position would suit an enthusiastic and proactive legal graduate, with experience, who thrives in a busy and varied role. Responsibilitiessupport MHC Legal Counsel in dealing with Risk and Compliance (and other legal) issues affecting the firm;support the Director of Client Service in assisting the firm in its commitment to delivering service excellence;review framework/service agreements and Outside Counsel Guidelines and liaise with MHC Legal Counsel to assess whether legal issues need to be raised to the attention of Client Partners;deal with various data protection matters including Data Subject Access Requests, assisting MHC Legal Counsel on Data Protection Agreements for Suppliers and other data protection related matters;act as the point of contact and co-ordinator for client due diligence/compliance questionnaires;assist with administrative compliance, including filing of periodical Lobbying returns and regularly updating the Legal Services Regulatory Authority of changes to the partnership;assisting on various client service-related initiatives. The role is varied but includes the design and development of internal client service communications, working with clients in relation to various value-add service requirements and keeping up to date with client service developments and research; andvarious other duties as required. Candidate Requirementsan undergraduate and/or master’s degree in law is a necessity;prior experience in a busy legal support role (in particular, prior experience dealing with data protection matters and providing data protection support).proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);excellent written and oral communication skills; andcomfortable multitasking with a flexible approach to work.
