About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Facilities Manager to join our team in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
This is a contract position initially, with a focus on delivering quality-based, cost-effective services and managing various aspects of facilities maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT development programs.
2. Manage the performance and maintenance of buildings, including mechanical and electrical services.
3. Participate in and manage new development projects.
4. Prepare annual building and maintenance plans, including budgetary projections and energy management strategies.
5. Evaluate contracts and ensure compliance with health and safety policies, construction regulations, and H&S procedures.
6. Lead meetings and committees as required.
7. Develop reports, estimates, specifications, and drawings for facility-related projects.
8. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and fire safety evaluations.
9. Establish budgetary plans for infrastructure works, procurement, and material purchasing.
Requirements
1. 3rd Level or Apprenticeship qualification in IT, Electrical/Mechanical trade, Engineering, Surveying, Facilities Management, or Chartered Surveying.
2. At least 7 years of experience in managing large building maintenance operations, with expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering.
3. Proven track record of managing operational budgets and multidisciplinary trades and technical teams.
4. Experience in implementing Planned Maintenance programs and working with building service systems, technologies, such as UPS units, AHUs, and water treatment systems.
5. A valid Safe Pass or equivalent certification.
