About the Role
We are currently looking for an Energy, Utility & Services Manager to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Charleville.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the efficient operation, reliability and maintenance of the Site's Energy, Utilities and Services.
* In conjunction with OEM partner oversee the efficient operation of the Sites Combined heat and Power plant.
* Responsible for the efficient operation and compliance of the site water treatment plant.
* In conjunction with the Site Manager, develop and champion carbon reduction, energy efficiency and optimization plans.
* Actively lead and promote a culture of safety and compliance within the department's workforce.
* Responsibility for all facilities & building Maintenance across the site i.e Warehousing, Offices, Canteens, production areas.
* Responsibility for site facilities.
* Supporting implementation and ongoing management of ISO50001 Energy Management standard & ISO14001 Environmental management system.
* Identification, analysis, design, costing and project management of energy conservation projects.
* Work with operations, technical and engineering teams to develop future operations, process improvement and capital expenditure requirements, with appropriate business justifications.
* Work closely with regulatory authorities and auditors such as but not limited to EPA, BRC, FFSC, HSA etc.
Requirements
* Ideal degree in Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with proven track record of continuous development and taking on roles of increasing responsibility and executing to a consistently high level.
* Proven experience in managing Energy, Utilities and Services in the Food or Pharmaceutical industries.
* Ability to identify and deliver capital projects.
* Excellent Project Management skills.
* This role requires a strong leader with exceptional team building, communication skills and the ability to motivate others and drive results / positive outcomes.
* HACCP and Food safety experience.
* Able to influence and persuade, apply logical thinking and a pragmatic approach.
* Knowledge of up-to-date technologies focusing on energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
* Ability to problem solve and use of analytical tools to solve problems.
* Excellent understanding of safety legislation, safety standards and risk assessment methodologies.
* Hands-on experience of engineering validations with excellent understanding of cGMP.
