Job Title: Registered Veterinary Nurse Location: Dublin, Ireland Salary: 30, ,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours: Option 1: 4 days per week, 10 hours per dayOption 2: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day Weekend Work: 1 weekend in every 5 weeks, with a day off before and a day off after the weekend.
The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a great team for an independent Veterinary Hospital in Dublin.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the nursing team, providing high-quality care to their patients and supporting their veterinary surgeons.
Responsibilities: Providing excellent nursing care to animal patients.Assisting veterinarians during consultations and surgical procedures.Monitoring anaesthesia.Administering medications and treatments.Performing diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, urinalysis).Taking radiographs.Preparing animals for surgery.Maintaining accurate patient records.Providing compassionate care to patients and their owners.Assisting with reception duties as needed.Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Adhering to all relevant veterinary regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Experience: Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) and registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).Ideally experienced RVN but New graduates are welcome to apply.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.A genuine passion for animal care.Ability to work well under pressure.Competent in all aspects of general nursing duties.
