We are seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated individual with significant experience and an excellent quantitative background to join our Financial Risk Management business as a Quantitative Modelling Director. The team is responsible for delivering advisory support to Financial Services Clients comprising quantitative financial risk activities (e.g. IRB, IFRS 9, IRRBB) and qualitative financial risk activities (e.g. ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP). About the role: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the provision of quantitative modelling services on behalf of the Financial Risk Management team, which may include: Leading large and complex risk model development projects (IRB, IFRS9, IRRBB) with our clients; Identifying and developing new market propositions for quantitative risk modelling; Taking a lead role in the wider Deloitte European and global prudential regulatory network to identify and deliver leading edge solutions; Developing your network in the local financial services community; Contributing to thought leadership on financial risk and prudential regulation topics. Maintaining, nurturing and driving business growth. About you: Strong proven model development experience (ideally IRB or IFRS9) Experience successfully delivering projects and ability to communicate complex concepts to non-expert audiences Strong problem-solving ability allied with high attention to detail Thorough understanding of financial risk regulatory requirements under CRR and relevant accounting standards e.g. IFRS9 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of written and spoken English Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to deliver on strict deadlines on time Flexible and able to learn new solutions and systems quickly Proven ability to drive performance, including developing and growing teams and maintaining successful stakeholder relationship; business development / sales experience a positive but not essential.
