**About the Job:**
We are seeking a Data Centre Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Dublin 24. This is a fully onsite role for 12 months, offering a competitive package.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and monitor the IT equipment installation process, ensuring vendors adhere to specifications.
* Manage IT equipment installers, including scheduling, task assignment, and quality control.
* Review and approve IT equipment installation plans for compliance with data center regulations and security requirements.
* Supervise the entire process of IT equipment installation, cabling, configuration, and testing to meet acceptance specifications.
* Monitor spare parts replacement, including fault diagnosis, application, replacement, and test verification.
* Perform routine inspections of data center equipment to ensure proper operation and capacity requirements are met.
* Respond quickly to emergencies and faults to maintain equipment room stability and security.
* Review and optimize the spare parts management system to improve utilization and replacement efficiency.
* Coordinate with suppliers to maintain devices and rectify faults, ensuring specified processes and time requirements are met.
* Assess supplier work quality, provide feedback, and drive improvement.
* Manage the internal IT O&M team, training members on the latest IT equipment management and troubleshooting skills.
* Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Work with Procurement to ensure purchased IT equipment meets technical requirements and compatibility standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field.
* Data center IT O&M experience preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance processes for servers, storage, and networking equipment.
* IT project management experience, familiar with planning and executing IT equipment installation projects.
* Excellent people management skills, able to effectively manage and coordinate installers and technicians.
* In-depth knowledge of data center operational security practices and procedures.
* Professional certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, and ITIL.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, PPT, Excel, etc.
* Excellent vendor management skills, with experience managing IT outsourcing services.
* Strong problem analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a strong sense of responsibility.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly in emergency situations.
* Accepting emergency handling faults during non-working hours.
