Purchasing & Stock Control Assistant
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to assist in managing supplier relationships, monitoring stock levels, processing stock orders, sourcing new products, and ensuring efficient stock control for one of our clients, a building supplies company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
* Monitor stock levels and process stock orders to maintain optimal inventory levels
* SOURCE NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock movements and transactions
* Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a purchasing or similar role is highly advantageous
* Strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* IT proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel to effectively manage administrative tasks
* Familiarity with hardware and building supplies industry knowledge is advantageous
