Hotel Financial Controller Role at Clanree Hotel
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Accountant to lead our finance function.
About the Role
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Develop an annual budget for the hotel, ensuring accurate financial forecasting.
* Assist with the annual audit process, providing support and expertise as required.
* Manage accounts payable and sales ledgers, maintaining accurate records and up-to-date information.
* Process bank reconciliations, VAT returns, and PAYE on ROS, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
* Review cash and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
* Approve purchase orders on Procure Wizard, ensuring efficient and effective procurement practices.
* Reconcile stock on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
* Process wages and supplier payments, maintaining timely and efficient payment processes.
* Lead and coordinate the Accounts Team, providing guidance and support as needed.
Key Requirements
* Demonstrate strong numerical ability, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Possess 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
* Maintain Company Accounts on Sage Line 50, with a high level of technical expertise.
* Work effectively with management in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
* Hold relevant work experience in the hotel sector, with a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities.
