Electrical Engineering Lead Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to join our team on data centre projects in Belgium. Our client has a presence in Ireland, Europe and the UK and works across various sectors including Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, and Data Centres.
Responsibilities/Duties
* Manage the Electrical Engineering function for the project, ensuring full technical compliance and providing weekly reports and updates to the Project Director and Client.
* Oversee the review and issuance of Technical Submittals and RFIs, ensuring they meet project specifications.
* Lead a team of Electrical Engineers and Package Managers, ensuring smooth project execution.
* Ensure complete and accurate handover information at project completion.
* Engage with the supply chain, including vendors and subcontractors, to ensure compliance with project specifications and value engineering opportunities.
* Communicate technical issues promptly to the Project Management team and monitor engineering progress.
* Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, and project bid teams as needed.
* Develop and support commissioning strategies, troubleshooting activities, and off-site technical support for construction teams.
* Identify and implement sustainable and value-engineering solutions in project design.
Qualifications / Skills
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
* Proven track record in an Electrical Engineering role within the construction industry.
* Previous experience in Hyper Scale Data Centres is preferable.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience managing and leading a team of engineers.
* Proficient in Office 365 (Outlook, Excel (advanced), Word, PowerPoint, Share file, CMMS systems).
* IT skills, particularly in AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, and other relevant software tools, are advantageous.
