Senior Placement Consultant at Ayrton Group
Ayrton Group have a temporary requirement for an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor. This role is advertised for the Dublin region but our client has office locations nationwide and will consider candidates within a commutable distance of any office location.
This is a desk-based role which offers a hybrid work model, both working from home and in the client office.
This role offers an initial temporary 2-month contract, with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, evaluate, analyse work environments, and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors.
* Work within OHS workstreams e.g. medical health surveillance, external reporting, etc.
* Maintain a central repository of OHS documentation, processes, and practices in line with H&S management repository framework.
* Prepare reports based on KPIs/metrics to help identify preventive measures and create data driven programs.
* Provide comprehensive OHS risk analysis and risk management actions.
* Assist in the improvement of programs and processes to influence key business decisions as well as functional and operational OHS strategies.
* Prepare healthcare training materials.
* Maintain medical monitoring programs for employees.
* Maintain or update emergency response plans or procedures.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' work experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Minimum of a recognised Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
* A medical background is preferred.
* Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Strong report writing and comprehension skills.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
