This role will be based in our Uniphar Wholesale Limited Company, which is in our Supply Chain Division.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Overseeing the picking operation ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the highest of standards, ensuring that all customer orders are delivered without delays.
2. Delegating responsibilities to line leads and following up ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
3. Dealing with your teams queries and developing your team in terms of their understanding of the process and Standard Operating Procedures within the company and their compliance to same.
4. Take an active part in the development of new processes in the business to drive efficiency and productivity across the site.
5. Maintain close liaison with the team and develop professional relationships.
6. To be actively searching and promoting cost saving initiatives within the business.
7. Ensure that the housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times throughout the facility.
8. Prepare ad hoc reports as required to include for example shift and cancelled lines.
9. Ensure the security of the site at all times.
10. To lead by example.
11. Ensuring that the time and attendance records for your team are accurate and up to date by the required deadlines on a weekly basis.
12. Follow up on all issues with the team and individual team members such as the acknowledgment of positive or negative approaches and performance.
13. Ensuring that your team is adhering to all of the Health and Safety policies and procedures when they are on site.
14. Monitoring the performance of the process and the team and report on same.
15. Ensure staff levels are planned around the business requirements and that holidays are planned in such a way that they do not impact on the company’s ability to service the business and its Customers.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
* Supervisory Experience is required.
* Excellent Analytical Skills (numerical and written) with strong planning and organising skills.
* Experience in using Microsoft Software and SAP.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Confident in giving direction and developing people.
