Our client, a highly respected and long-established contractor known for consistently delivering top-tier construction projects, is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to become a key part of their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to work across multiple sites in Carlow, Wicklow, and South Dublin, with a company that places a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Role Overview: As the Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety across all project sites. Your role will involve proactive safety management, on-site inspections, and engaging with site teams to foster a strong safety culture. Key Duties: Carry out routine health and safety audits and inspections across various construction sites. Recognise and assess risks, implementing effective preventative measures. Prepare and oversee safety documentation, including risk assessments and safety statements. Deliver inductions and ongoing safety training to staff and subcontractors. Maintain accurate safety records and support investigations into any incidents or near misses. Candidate Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in a construction-based Health and Safety role. Comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation in construction. Possess a recognised health and safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail. Willingness and ability to travel between multiple project sites in Carlow, Wicklow, and South Dublin.
