Job Summary
The Health & Safety Advisor will assist in the delivery of QHSE standards across the organisation, conducting audits, site inspections and training to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct internal audits and site inspections for Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards
* Perform regular compliance checks and update records accordingly
* Collect, review and assess essential documentation from sub-contractors
* Coordinate and deliver employee QHSE induction programs
* Gather and evaluate necessary documentation from contractors, conduct contractor inductions and maintain precise records
* Support QHSE and Product Safety awareness initiatives for staff through various campaigns
* Participate in the investigation and reporting of accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences
* Compile data and complete all QHSE administrative tasks
* Assist in the review and update of current QHSE policies, procedures, regulations and legislation
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* NEBOSH Certification
* ISO Internal Auditor or equivalent experience
* Experience working with, maintaining and implementing ISO standards
* Knowledge of relevant QHSE regulations and standards
* Attention to detail and demonstrable communication skills
Desirable Qualifications
* Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health)
* Understanding of BRC Global Standards
* Experience in QHSE management systems and procedures
* Experience in ISO 28000
