We are currently recruiting a Reservations Manager for a leading 5* Hotel in Cork
Responsibilities:
1. Engage and manage the day-to-day operation of the reservations office.
2. Achieve accommodation revenue targets and the hotel’s total revenue targets.
3. Ensure that departmental procedures and standards are adhered to and develop and implement new procedures and systems where required.
4. Manage the enquiry handling system from initial enquiry to contracting and handover to operations prior to arrival.
5. Ensure that all enquiries are responded to professionally, using departmental standards and within the departmental time standard to maximize sales and revenue.
6. Participate fully in specific departmental training and learning opportunities.
7. Maintain and develop management information systems.
8. Attend hotel training when required.
9. Ensure that all tasks on the reservations daily checklist are completed by team members prior to the reservations department closing each day.
Skills & Attributes Required:
1. 2 years previous reservations management experience in a leading 4/5* Hotel.
2. Outgoing personality with the ability to build strong relationships.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
5. High standard of customer care with good problem-solving ability.
6. Self-motivated with a desire to succeed in a challenging environment.
7. Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
8. Fluency in English is essential.
9. Required to work flexible hours.
