Overview
John Sisk & Son are seeking a Bid Manager /Coordinator to join us in our Citywest Office.
The Bid Manager /Coordinator will focus on bid writing, developing technical and business content for bids and prequalification proposals (public and private procurement), and supporting the bid team throughout the bid process.
Responsibilities
* Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to its evolution.
* Produce compelling bid material aligned with customer messaging.
* Collaborate with the Head of Service to develop responses for bids, including value propositions, methodologies, and delivery approaches.
* Write clear, concise, and persuasive content under tight deadlines.
* Coordinate with bid stakeholders to gather accurate information for comprehensive bids.
* Manage standalone bids (RFTs/PQQs) from start to finish, demonstrating strong managerial skills.
* Coordinate with the Marketing team to ensure company details are current on RFTs/PQQs.
* Design visual content in accordance with Sisk branding guidelines, utilizing graphics skills.
* Innovate and improve bid messaging and strategies continually.
* Schedule meetings and maintain departmental filing structures.
* Assist with commercial tasks such as drafting payment applications and project variations.
* Coordinate team communications effectively.
Experience
* At least 5 years of technical and business writing experience in a professional bid environment.
* High attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
* Design skills for creating visually appealing bid content.
* Experience managing end-to-end bid processes.
* Experience with design work and creating design packages is desirable.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
* Shipley Bid Writing (desirable).
* APMP Foundation certification (desirable).
