Job Title: EHS Engineer
We are seeking an experienced EHS Engineer to join our team at the Cork site. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and implement high EHS standards and influence a proactive EHS operating culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret regulatory changes and provide guidance to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, IE Licensing, and ISO45001/ISO14001 Standards.
* Provide EHS support to the site operation to ensure compliance with Lower Tier SEVESO and ATEX requirements.
* Perform EHS assessments and approvals of process and equipment changes.
* Maintain relationships with the EHS team, Operational Area Managers, and Functional Managers to develop and implement EHS strategies.
* Work closely with Regulatory Authorities, external and internal stakeholders, and the local management team.
* Seek opportunities to continuously improve the EHS operating culture.
* Involvement in site and EHS goals, corporate responsibility, and sustainability objectives.
* Lead audits and inspections, compile EHS metrics and KPIs data, and trending for corporate EHS and site management.
Requirements:
* Higher Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent, minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.
* Extensive experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, Life Science, or Pharmaceutical experience is desirable.
* Strong experience in chemical management systems and machine safety, and/or regulatory/IE Licensing, is desirable.
* Leadership and organizational skills with ability to influence and motivate colleagues to achieve high performance.
* Highly motivated with a passion for EHS to continuously improve EHS performance by implementing new and innovative ideas.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Competent user of Microsoft packages.
