We have a fabulous opportunity for a highly experienced hotel events & sales professional with this top luxury property in Co Wicklow.
The Director of Event Management is responsible for maximising profit and guest satisfaction through effective management of the Meeting & Events Department.
This role would suit a Senior Event Manager / Meeting & Events Sales Manager with deep experience of the full event cycle from initial enquiry through to handover to the operations team.
Must also be a highly commercially-motivated manager with experience of proactive sales techniques to bring in event bookings/upsell events etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Work to revenue and conversion targets Direct day-to-day management of reactive sales & event planning to include enquiries, proposals, chasing, contracting, event planning and internal and external client face-to-face interactions Plan and assign work, manage and oversee the M&E team Overview the collaboration, management and action of customer satisfaction feedback post event Proactively resolve any outstanding issues Complete weekly forecasts, plans, and productivity reports for management meetings Complete monthly revenue and P&L reports Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans Monitor budget and upsell products and services to increase revenue Review upcoming M&E business pipeline, identify gaps and ensure pro-active measures are taken to achieve set targets in conjunction with DOSM Devise creative ideas and strategies to drive business and to upsell to clients with contracted business Responsible for recruitment and training of the M&E Team Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to M&E Team to help manage conflict and improve team member performance Promote teamwork and the delivery of consistent 5 star service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
