Job DescriptionWe are now seeking a Consents Project Manager to join us and play a key role assisting our clients in the transition to a low carbon energy future. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast paced organisation and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects across multiple stages of delivery from concept through to development consent and transition to delivery.
The candidate should have a strong contract and project management background with a proven track record of managing and delivering Consents strategies, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) documentation, and Appropriate Assessment/Natura Impact Statement (AA/NIS) documentation on large scale complex infrastructure projects, ideally in renewable energy or transmission sectors.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include management and delivery of Consents outputs for a diverse portfolio of projects, predominantly in the energy/utilities sector.Ability to adapt quickly to changing project and business requirements, with a strong technical ability to understand and digest technical information.Identifying and managing internal and external project Stakeholders, ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels;Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all project stages;Ability to analyse issues, exercising judgement to make decisions and drive delivery of Consents elements of large infrastructure projects;Managing and developing the below outputs:Project InitiationPlanning Consents procedures (Consents Management Plan, etc.
)Stakeholder Engagement Plan & MappingInterface management with other functionsPre-applicationPre-application consultation and engagementEIA Scoping / Statutory Authority engagementDevelopment Consent DeliveryProcurement & Contracting of EIA consultant & othersQA/QC of EIA/AA documentationSchedule management and assuranceEngineering interface & Change / Risk ManagementStakeholder Engagement and Management (incl.
Statutory Authorities)Commitments/Mitigations Register managementTransition to Project DeliveryConsents discharge strategy & trainingProject Controls & Governance for deliveryCompliance checking process for discharge of conditionsUpdated Stakeholder Mapping and management processInputting to the development of overall project documentation, including Risk Register, Issue Register, Project schedules, Monthly Reports, Project Budgets and Governance approvals;Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality, risk, and other performance indicators.Reporting and presenting on Consenting element of project delivery to Senior Management Team.Leading and motivating project team members to ensure a sense of team and a clear understanding of goals and objectives;Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment;Demonstrate enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects and programmes of work.Qualifications5+ years relevant experience preferably with a planning / consenting / energy / engineering background.
Experience managing the Consents processes of large infrastructure projects (ideally renewables) along with the ability to adapt, innovate and meet changing demands;Knowledge of Planning & Consents legislation and policy in Ireland (or a similar jurisdiction).Knowledge of the industry, environment and context, experience working within a similar regulated utility environment;Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions and recommendations in the best interests of the Client / project;Excellent organisational and communication skills;Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;Recognised accredited qualification in Environmental, Planning, Engineering or related field.Full, clean drivers licence.Desirable Requirements Recognised qualification in Project Management.Experience managing Consents for renewable energy projects eitherStrong technical understanding of renewable energy infrastructure.Experience across all stages of the Consents management process (project initiation, pre-application consultation, consent delivery, transition to project delivery)Additional InformationWhat we offer you:Full time, permanentCompetitive remuneration and attractive range of benefitsPension23 days Annual leaveOpportunity to work on impactful and innovative projectsCareer development opportunities both in Ireland and globallyOpportunity to work with a diverse group of talented and collaborative colleaguesOur inspired people share our vision and mission.
