Role Summary: The Project Manager will be accountable for managing and delivering projects from start to completion, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Budget, and Programme constraints. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Plan and deliver the overall project from pre-start to handover. Manage the project, ensuring adequate resources are available on-site to meet delivery schedules. Monitor and update the programme weekly, highlighting and mitigating any risks. Prepare monthly reports on programme, quality, health & safety, progress, and finance, and present to stakeholders. Assist and manage the Design Manager to resolve design issues during the design process. Produce a procurement schedule for the QS to procure. Assist the QS and Contracts Manager in creating a full and accurate scope of works for different trade packages. Oversee both the quality and design on site, ensuring the use of the company's quality implementation strategy through BIM. Act as the main contact for all stakeholders, including statutory bodies. Occasionally assist in preparing and submitting tenders, and support the estimating department/Pre-Construction team with programmes and construction methodologies. Manage the project team effectively, leading by example, and developing and mentoring team members. Ensure detailed site records and photographs are maintained by all team members. Chair weekly site and QA meetings, ensuring accurate minutes and actions are produced. Build and maintain good relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure production and implementation of project plans, including method statements, risk assessments, inspection and test plans (ITPs), BIM management, and BIM field applications. Ensure technical submissions are produced and managed. Manage the design process in line with site constraints and within the target programme. Consistently review site operations and logistics. Manage the BC(A)R among the team from project start to handover, delegating responsibilities as necessary. Develop and sign off the target programme with the Contracts Manager. Department/Supervisory Responsibilities: Conduct one-on-one review meetings with team members every six months. Review department competency matrix bi-annually and assess HR needs, submitting training requests to HR. Verify weekly team timesheets and submit them to HR. Conduct annual performance development assessments with each team member. Manage poor performance and address disciplinary and grievance issues in coordination with HR. Monitor and report on departmental objectives and targets in line with the organisational strategy. Requirements: Experience in the construction industry is essential. Construction-related degree. Minimum of 5-10 years' experience with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK on £10m+ projects. Proficient in planning software such as MS Project. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills. Highly organised and methodical approach. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills, capable of managing and driving multiple work streams simultaneously. Ability to supervise and manage staff.
