Job title: Mechanical Small Works/Maintenance Manager Reports to CJK Mechanical Director Duties: Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of Mechanical maintenance technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment.
Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities and respond promptly to unplanned maintenance issues.
Small Works Projects Management: Oversee the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of small works projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Keep well informed of industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to mechanical maintenance and small works projects.
Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards in the execution of maintenance activities and small works projects.
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate controls.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and small works projects, optimising resource allocation and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.
Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and take corrective actions as necessary.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, small works projects, equipment inventories, and relevant documentation.
Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, project status, and budgetary matters for management review.
Previous Experience / Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years Project Management experience in similar role Third Level qualification Ability to work well within strict deadlines and on their own initiative Excellent communication skills Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent attention to detail Mechanical knowledge & experience gained from either a trade or academic background Desirable: Renewable & sustainable energy knowledge beneficial Good knowledge of AutoCad / NavisWorks Data Centre and/or Pharmaceutical experience CSA small works experience Full Time Position.
Renumeration is dependent on experience.
