Morgan McKinley are working with a growing Insurance Firm in Dublin who are looking for a Project Manager to implement projects in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
The Project Manager is a key role within a growing Insurance firm. You will drive projects and initiatives that support business processes, liaising with Tech teams and users across business units to understand requirements and convert them into effective projects.
As a liaison between business and technical functions you will be responsible translating and communicating across the organisation to deliver projects to the highest standards in a regulated environment.
Main Responsibilities
1. Plan and develop the project from ideation through to implementation
2. Ensure stakeholder satisfaction at all times
3. Day to day you will be involved in working within an agile team ensuring project overall delivery in an agile working environment
4. You will monitor project progress, review user stories and acceptance criteria and set deadlines, investigate, evaluate and make recommendations for improvements to project processes and drive the team to deliver
5. Work closely with other software development teams (internal and external), tech architects and business owners to refine requirements and translate business needs into IT solutions and make sure projects are sequenced as a programme of work
6. Liaise with management across the business to ensure there is always an approach of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice
7. Effectively document and surface relevant information
8. Remove blockers to ensure project success in a pro-active manner
9. Manage risks, issues, deadlines, dependencies and be able to present up to date status reports at any time
10. Work with the Infrastructure team (and other teams as needed) to ensure the functional and non-functional requirements are known and are properly supported, fit for purpose, and kept up to date
11. Create a supportive and rewarding working environment that aligns with the company culture as well as instilling a sense of ownership, accountability and technical excellence in your team driving efficient processes and constantly push engineering best practice
12. Monitor efficiency of resource use and team productivity
13. Develop a thorough understand of our industry and our products and services
14. Regular progress reporting, defining and reporting KPIs and key objective/result metrics including helping your team define, drive and achieve their objectives and key results
15. Keep stakeholders up to date on all activities that affects their individual goals and be a point contact for work status
16. Continual focus on long term effectiveness, simplicity of solutions and appropriate controls
