Main Responsibilities
1. Stock Management:
o Maintain accurate records of stock levels and locations and order as required.
o Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock deliveries against purchase orders.
o Unload deliveries and ensure proper storage of items.
o Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
2. Material Preparation:
o Prepare materials and products for loading onto work vehicles.
o Ensure all materials are accurately picked and packed according to job requirements.
o Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles as required.
3. Stock Control System Management:
o Update the stock control system with accurate and timely information regarding stock movements.
o Monitor and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
o Generate reports on stock levels, usage, and trends as needed.
4. Delivery Handling:
o Accept and sign for deliveries from suppliers.
o Check the condition and quantity of received goods against delivery notes.
o Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the relevant department.
o Organise and store received goods in the appropriate locations.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or stock management role is preferred.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using stock control systems and basic computer skills.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items, and work on your feet for extended periods.
* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and detail in managing inventory and preparing materials.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a well-organised work environment.
* Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and suppliers.
