An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Knowledge Lawyer to join the Corporate Group of a leading law firm in Dublin.

The Role
The Corporate group are one of the leading practices in Ireland and provide advice to domestic and international clients on corporate transactions. The group is a broad practice area and this role will support fee earners who provide advice to clients on mergers and acquisitions, technology, financial regulation, corporate advisory, and competition law. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
1. Working with the Knowledge partner and fee-earners on appropriate knowledge management initiatives as they arise, for example, the capture of tacit knowledge in significant corporate and M&A transactions.
2. Assisting fee earners (and clients where appropriate) in respect of technical and/or practical legal issues raised by clients, and assisting in the development of position papers, toolkits, and other legal know-how.
3. Taking responsibility for the development and production of new precedents and the maintenance of precedents.
4. Capturing and disseminating relevant legal knowledge to ensure that the collective expertise and knowledge of the group is understood and shared.
5. Ensuring that Corporate is on top of relevant emerging technologies that might support the delivery of Corporate knowledge and legal services more generally.
6. Inputting and participating in internal and external training initiatives and industry events.
The Person
1. Qualified Solicitor/Barrister with ideally 4+ years of post-qualification Corporate/Commercial experience.
2. Keen interest in legal knowledge, learning, and development.
3. Commercial focus and business acumen.
4. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to present at client seminars, conferences, and workshops.
5. IT literacy and an interest in leveraging technology to improve the knowledge offering.
6. Ability to think creatively and strategically and to drive innovation and change.
