Job Summary
The client, a leading multinational expert in providing supply chain services to pharma and medical device companies, seeks an experienced Buyer to join its team on a customer site in Cork. Responsibilities
* Provide price quotations to customers, seeking the best value for money;
* Maintain records of quotations provided for audit purposes, adhering to company policies;
* Liaise with external suppliers, customers, and third-party sub-contractors to maintain proactive relationships;
* Place purchase orders for new and existing products;
* Utilize the Company's ERP system for processing Sales Orders and controlling inventory;
* Issue, receive, and manage Customers owned Inventory, utilizing their ERP stock management systems;
* Perform Cycle Counting, Stock Checks, and Material Planning using the customer ERP system;
* Manage Engineering stores requisitions, running weekly checks and raising new requests as needed;
* Liaise with other business units to ensure all stores-related functions are running smoothly;
* Maintain weekly materials counts, advising the account manager of potential stock outs or shortages and identifying slow-moving materials;
* Process and Pay returns to suppliers, ensuring Stock control records are maintained, and compliance with Health and Safety requirements within the Engineering Stores team.
