Role: Data Protection & Compliance Co-Ordinator
Reporting to: QCRS Operations Manager
Purpose of the role:
Reporting to the QCRS Operations Manager, you will be an important part of monitoring compliance with GDPR, other applicable data protection legislation and European Medtech Code of Ethics requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining and continually developing our Data Protection and Compliance processes and provide support for management of Data Protection and Compliance risk across the business.
Responsibilities include:
Data Protection
* To act as the first point of contact for employees and line managers for all Data Protection issues in line with company policies and procedures, or escalating matters where appropriate.
* Administration of Data Protection system, Privacy Engine.
* Responding to subject access requests and deletion requests in line with agreed targets and legal timeframes.
* Maintaining a log of data protection breaches or near misses, and remedial recommendations and actions.
* Responsible for updating the Register of Processing Activities (ROPA).
* Assist with maintenance of data in line with data retention rules.
* Updating guides on data protection policies and associated training and guidance material.
* Assisting Data Champions with the completion of required assessments including Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIA).
* Supporting with the recording and tracking of risk events / data breaches.
* Responsible for roll out and administration of Data Protection Training.
* Work as part of a cross-functional team to provide back up support to QCRA department across Post Market Surveillance, Regulatory Reporting and QMS administration where required / to cover leave.
Ethics & Compliance
* Administration of training completion with HR.
* Processing of requests for Educational Support in line with Eucomed guidelines.
* Other relevant administrative tasks commensurate with the post.

Requirements
* Previous work experience within administration, with a minimum of two years’ experience within compliance and/or data protection
* Knowledge of GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018
* Strong organisational and personal management skills, capable of operating independently with minimal direction in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities.
* IT competent, comfortable navigating software packages to manage Data Protection and administrative tasks.
* Ability to support multiple business units within Commercial & Clinical MedTech across multiple geographies including Ireland, UK and Europe.
* Attention to detail and proven track record in working with effective administrative processes.
* Travel between the different sites will be required, so a full driving license and access to a car is required.
