We are currently looking for a Senior Package/Project Manager to join us on a contract basis to help us deliver various projects in the Life Sciences Industry.
Key Attributes/Responsibilities
* Encompass a “cradle to grave” approach for vendor supplied packages and ancillary support systems.
* Report to Portfolio Director during design phase of facility.
* Manage scope of work from concept through to handover.
* Manage the day-to-day activities of individual disciplines as requested by the portfolio director where necessary.
* Accountable for the generation of project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
* Hold weekly project co-ordination meetings.
* Co-ordinate activities of the engineering and design groups within the project team and identify when specialist services may be required.
* Co-ordinate and direct the preparation of Project Controls data, i.e. Schedules, Budgets and Resourcing Plans for the Design and Construction project phases.
* Review progress and man-hour forecasts to enable corrective action decision making.
* Client liaison, attendance at project meetings, etc.
* Interact and align with the A&E Firm Design Team, CQV, Automation, MES, Construction, etc., to deliver the specific packages in line with the overall program.
* Co-ordinate and manage the specific packages during vendor fabrication.
* Act as the point of contact when packages get to site.
* Ensure standards are being followed to provide consistency for the entire site.
* Co-ordinate activities/queries from Site Construction, EHS, CQV, Operations, etc.
* Ensure all specific package goals and timelines are met.
* Assist Responsible Engineer on any specific design queries during vendor fabrication.
* Effectively communicate and manage internal and external stakeholders.
* Proactively manage package issues as they arise, proposing and implementing plans to resolve them.
* Assist the CQV team to ensure timelines are met and no roadblocks exist to effective commissioning & qualification of packages.
* There may also be a need to support FATs, as required.
* Assist in system walkdowns as they are being installed.
* Adequate understanding of mechanical process systems to be capable of troubleshooting and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Capability of mentoring and communicating with junior team members.
