This role focuses on leveraging advanced analytics to support key business operations, automate workflows and generate actionable insights. While primarily a data-driven role, experience with software development and cloud based tools will be required to support internal applications and infrastructure.Primary Responsibilities Of The Data ScientistBe an independent thinker and advocate of data science methods and applicationsThe ability for critical thinking outside your immediate sphere of responsibilityWork with autonomy and in partnership with other Data Scientists and business partners to find solutions to complex problemsDevelop and deploy scalable data science solutions to solve business challengesExplore, analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends and anomaliesPrototype new analytics tools and applications to improve operational efficiencyBe familiar with the state-of-the-art around big data analytics and associated technologies and techniquesSupport and maintain cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructureWork as part of a small team, sharing ideas and contributing to the strategic goals.You will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications Of The Data ScientistUndergraduate degree in engineering, data science, computer science or a related fieldProgramming experience with Python/Pyspark or other analytical languagesExperience with ML frameworks, statistical methods and using programming to solve complex technical problemsKnowledge of cloud computing platforms and data workflowsUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerizationExcellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiencesPreferred QualificationsMasters degree or PhD in a technical field (e.g. computer science, science, engineering, math, statistics, physics etc.)Hands-on experience using version control systems such as GitExperience of large-scale distributed computing environments (Hadoop, Hive, Databricks etc)Experience working with ETL scheduling tools such as Airflow, and dashboard creation tools such as Power BI etc.Exposure to web development software stack (JavaScript, React, Alembic, SQLAlchemy)Experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured dataPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
