Job Title: Site Engineer
About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to work on large civils projects in the midlands region.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day activities of up to 25 personnel and specialist subcontractors.
* Produce method statements and risk assessments, and ensure works are carried out accordingly.
* Set out levelling, Total-station, GPS work, and monitor works to ensure compliance with design drawings and specifications.
* Supervise civil engineering activities, including excavation, shuttering, steel-fixing, concrete works, pipe/culvert lifting and placing, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
* Daily record keeping, including Daily Allocation Sheets and Plant Sheets, site progress photographs.
* Management of subcontractors and assistance with procurement of goods and services.
* Attending site meetings, liaising with local authorities and stakeholders, quality management, and environmental controls.
* Maintaining as-built records.
Requirements
* At least 3 years' experience with a main contractor on construction of civil engineering projects.
* Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering.
* Current Safe Pass Card and valid driving license.
* Use of own transport.
About Us
A Site Engineer is required to work on large civils projects in the midlands region. The Athlone Flood Alleviation Scheme has eight individual flood cells, including earthen embankments, reinforced concrete walls, sheet pile walls, pumping stations, floodgates, glass walls, piling for structural elements, culverts, and all associated building and civil engineering works.
