In this role, you will:
1. Actively participate in the tender/bid process—from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting.
2. Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
3. Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken.
4. Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
5. Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team.
6. Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
7. Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
8. Use your business development skills to engage new clients as well as repeat projects with existing clients.
9. Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership.
Key Focus:
This role has a specialised focus on post-contract fit-out for a life sciences project. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that the post-contract phase is managed efficiently, with a strong emphasis on quality, budget control, and timely delivery.

1. Are an experienced cost manager on large-scale construction projects with increasing levels of leadership.
2. Are chartered or are on the path to completing it. We can help.
3. Have a degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
4. Have significant experience in pre- and post-contract cost management, particularly with fit-out projects in the life sciences sector.
5. Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
