We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join a highly respected construction company based in Waterford. The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing and delivering large-scale construction projects, including mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Oversight: Take responsibility for all engineering aspects of construction projects, ensuring designs are effectively executed to meet project goals and high-quality standards.
2. Site Engineering: Supervise site activities, ensuring that construction is carried out according to design specifications, safety regulations, and building codes.
3. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior engineers, assisting in their professional development while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
4. Quality Control: Perform regular site inspections to verify that work complies with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaboration: Coordinate with site management, subcontractors, architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects progress smoothly and meet deadlines.
6. Issue Resolution: Anticipate potential engineering challenges and develop solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
7. Reporting: Regularly update project progress through detailed reports covering timelines, costs, and quality metrics.
8. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum of 4 years in an engineering role, with significant experience in managing construction projects, particularly in mixed-use developments and large-scale projects.
2. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
3. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
4. Knowledge: Extensive understanding of construction techniques, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
