Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the team in crafting custom cabinets, furniture, and fittings from design to finish.
2. Select and prepare different types of wood and materials, ensuring quality and suitability for each project.
3. Use hand tools and machinery to measure, cut, and shape wood accurately according to design specifications.
4. Help with the assembly of cabinets and furniture, ensuring joints are secure and pieces fit together perfectly.
5. Use various finishing techniques, including sanding, staining, and varnishing, to achieve a high-quality finish on all projects.
6. Interpret design plans and blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements for each project.
7. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and safely stored.
8. Assist in checking the quality of completed work, ensuring it meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
9. Assist with the installation of cabinets and furniture at client locations, ensuring proper fit and finish.
10. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
11. Engage in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge in cabinet making.
