Network GIS Planner Role
We are seeking a skilled Network GIS Planner to assist in the identification and approval of sites suitable for EV charging infrastructure. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with advanced urban planning technologies and contribute to shaping these technologies.
This is a key role in helping Easy Go accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility by delivering future-proof, cost-effective, and sustainable EV charging solutions across the Island of Ireland.
Responsibilities:
* Sites Identification: Identify, analyse, and propose viable sites using mapping software to support public and private charge point networks.
* Feasibility Studies: Conduct studies confirming the viability of proposed sites from construction and electric infrastructure perspectives.
* Data Management: Collect, manage, and visualise spatial data using applications such as QGIS to support internal and external planning activities.
* Ai Site Selection Tool: Guide our AI site selection tool, supporting the product owner to improve the tool by offering recommendations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders to provide progress updates and navigate site approval processes.
* Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to project managers and other team members as needed.
Requirements:
* Degree qualification in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, or a related subject.
* Ideal 2+ years' experience in urban planning, transport planning, or the EV sector.
* Understanding of spatial data's role in modern urban planning, with knowledge of its applications and uses.
* Excellent map reading skills and understanding of the Irish urban landscape.
* Ability to research best practices in urban and transportation planning, as well as EVs.
* Strong interpersonal and presentational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Hubspot.
* Desirable: Knowledge of GIS platforms such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or other mapping software.
