Work Location: This is a graduate position on our Dealing Team in our Investment Operations department at Utmost. The role is based in our Navan offices and is a 24 month contract.
The purpose of the role is to provide a dealing capability that meets planned activity levels and client needs, meeting or exceeding agreed standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivery of Dealing activity: To provide a Dealing capability that meets planned activity levels and client needs, meeting or exceeding agreed standards. It is critical that the services provided are against strict timetables and be error free.
* Scope of service relates to a diverse book of Financial Instruments including Unit Trusts, Direct Equities, Structured products, Fixed Government Securities and Externally Managed Portfolios across all business lines.
* Dealing Processing: Input and verify validity and requirements of instructions and that these are issued by the appropriate level of approved authority.
* Process a broad range of financial instruments.
* Client cash management.
* Monitor Monetary Exchange movements and ensure that required currency transfers minimise exposure.
* Competent in the use of the various external Banking systems.
* Escalate client issues in accordance with laid down procedure and best practice to ensure timely resolution and deal with issues with sensitivity and professionalism.
* Adherence to processing instructions within target time scales and investigate/resolve any delays.
* Error free processing of instructions within planned timescales.
* Timely and accurate feedback to all relevant parties.
* Escalation of errors/incidents to Team Leader.
* Planning & Development: Appropriate involvement in best practice implementation.
* Share ideas for improvement to provide an enthusiastic service.
* Ensure that behaviours align to the Utmost values.
* Maintain a client centric ethos at all times.
* Other Related Duties: To perform other job-related roles and duties as and when required by management for the effective running of the department. Willingness to accept such requests and perform them to the best of their ability in a timely fashion.
Key Requirements:
* Knowledge – Experience or qualifications: Third level Degree graduate preferably in Finance/Business/Accountancy/Economics.
* Skills: Role holder must have excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
