About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join our client's cloud infrastructure team on a contract basis, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role if desired.
This senior-level position will involve optimizing and maintaining our container orchestration platform, implementing best practices for scalability and security, and providing technical guidance to development teams.
The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis, requiring some on-site presence each week.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments.
* Lead container orchestration initiatives and establish deployment strategies.
* Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications.
* Optimize cluster performance, security, and reliability.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
* Troubleshoot complex issues across the container ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years of experience with container orchestration, with deep expertise in Kubernetes.
* Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
* Strong knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring in containerized environments.
* Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
* Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with multi-cluster management and federation.
* Experience with cloud-native observability tools.
* Background in performance tuning and optimization.
