About the Role
We are seeking a Shop Floor Manager to support and lead a team of colleagues in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers. This role will report to the Deputy Manager and be responsible for creating an inspiring and welcoming environment, managing stock control activities, and driving a culture of zero food waste.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers.
* Ensure that the store is running smoothly when the Store Manager/Deputy Manager are not present.
* Train and validate colleagues in their roles.
* Drive a culture of two-way communication and trust.
* Coach and manage colleagues to deliver daily priorities and meet customer needs.
* Review reports and systems to improve customer and colleague experiences.
* Manage date codes and ensure no food suitable for human consumption goes to waste.
* Recruit top-performing colleagues for the team.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated track record of delivering key objectives in a fast-paced environment.
* Adaptable and agile thinking.
* Previous retail experience preferred, especially in a similar role.
