Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative individual to lead and manage New Product Development Programs, working closely with the VAD R&D team and cross-functional leadership. This role requires extensive technical expertise and strategic vision to solve complex challenges and drive the successful execution of projects from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business processes, product architecture, and project management principles, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
As a leader, you will guide the development of product architecture, manage work breakdown structures, risk mitigation, and integrated business plans. You will also lead go-to-market strategies and oversee the creation of successful, market-ready products. Your strong communication skills will be essential in presenting complex technical issues clearly, driving decision-making, and fostering alignment across teams.
You will be the prime contact for key projects and contracts, collaborating with senior external personnel to navigate technical challenges. A proactive, self-starting attitude is critical, as you'll be expected to identify and implement process improvements and innovations across all aspects of the development cycle.
About The Role

You will also lead go-to-market strategies and oversee the creation of successful, market-ready products. Your strong communication skills will be crucial in communicating sophisticated technical issues, driving decision-making, and encouraging team alignment.
Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Applies extensive technical expertise & has full knowledge of related fields. Develops technical and business process solutions to sophisticated problems, which requires out-of-the-box thinking and creativity.
* Responsible for creating the project work breakdown structures, risk management, integrated business plans and product requirements.
* Responsible for the cross-functional development of product architecture for each functional area, synthesizes functional plans and identifies critical interdependencies to drive successful project execution.
* Technical and business skills and judgment significantly influence the direction of the project. Able to create and influence novel thinking of the team.
* Ability to communicate complex technical and business issues thoroughly, concisely, and effectively to enable high-quality decision-making and drive cross-functional alignment.
* Has a detailed understanding of all functional work streams in a phase gate process and a vision of an integrated project plan.
* Finds and creates new avenues of excellence. Self-starting and will take action without prompting or direction from others to solve problems.
* Constantly looks for improvements in work processes and results by anticipating and dealing with problems and encouraging others to suggest innovations and improvements.
* Represents the organization as the prime contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring organization coordination.
* Effectively manage several New Product Development Programs and the VAD R&D /cross-functional leadership team.
* Collaborates with cross-functional team to ensure timely delivery, review, and approval via multiple regional registrations and other conflicting/dependent programs.
* Responsible for the execution, quality, and results of the project and the success of the resulting product for the business or in the market.
* Interacts with functional managers and business leaders to communicate regarding critical project risks, questions or challenges.
* Challenges core team members, functional leaders and business leaders regarding functional and cross-functional strategies and approaches to improve program development outcomes.
* Analyzes development situations and data with in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
* Influences solutions to business or technical problems.
* Communicates and implements the strategic and technical direction for the project/program team.
* Complete understanding of a broad application of project management principles, theories & concepts.
About You
* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related engineering degree is required. An "advanced degree" in an engineering field or MBA is preferred, or equivalent experience.
* At least 6-8 years of confirmed experience in product development and design is required.
* Knowledge of global regulations (FDA, Anvisa, NMPA, MDR) and quality requirements (ISO, GB, JISC, etc.)
* Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams through sophisticated projects or programs. Program management experience preferred.
* Experience in new product development, planning multiple work-streams, identifying risk and implementing action plans to optimize timelines and reduce execution risk.
* Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
* Experience establishing customer requirements from defined needs specifications and translating them to product requirements.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
