We are seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineer with expertise in Water project management to join our client's team based in County Meath. As M&E Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing, advising, and supervising the installation of MEICA projects at water facilities, such as reservoir refurbishment, water rehabilitation, pumping stations, and treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Specialise in Mechanical & Electrical elements of the works.
* Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a focus on health & safety, time management, cost control, and ensuring the project meets quality standards.
* Ensure works are carried out according to contract documents and specifications.
* Monitor and report on works being carried out to Employer's Requirements.
* Keep the employer's representative, project manager, and Uisce Éireann informed of all site issues.
* Implement Uisce Éireann's safety policies and standards.
* Review and comment on HSQE documentation.
* Monitor compliance with contract health and safety requirements.
* Carry out weekly health and safety site reviews.
* Report and investigate accidents or incidents.
Desired Experience:
* At least 7 years' postgraduate experience with 4 years' industry experience in site supervision, contract administration, and project management of MEICA works on water engineering projects.
* A Degree in a related discipline, such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Knowledge of civil engineering works, design build operate projects, and project management.
* Ability to write clear reports and keep works records.
* Strong knowledge and experience of Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
