This role is the senior-most PSM leader, and part of the broader regional leadership team, for the regions of Continental Europe (COE) and Northern Eastern Europe and Israel (NEI). Reporting to the Senior Vice President Corporate Procurement & Subcontracting & Senior Vice President Operations. The role has responsibility for a total purchasing volume of about €1.7 billion and oversees approximately 80 FTEs in total, in addition to further indirect reports. This role is responsible for developing and deploying a regional PSM strategy to support the achievement of business goals and ensuring quality of delivery and results consistent with a best-in-class PSM organization.
This role is part of Exyte´s regional leadership team and leads strategically and operationally all areas of Procurement and Subcontracting for the assigned regions. The largest area of spend for Exyte’s PSM function is construction services via subcontracting arrangements – this is therefore a critical area of capability and experience for the incumbent.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
1. Develop the regional Procurement & Subcontracting Management (PSM) strategy to support the achievement of regional business goals and objectives.
2. As part of the Corporate PSM Leadership Team, develop capabilities (people, technology, policy, processes, plans) including the provision of regional and continuous improvement input to provide Exyte with a best-in-class procurement and subcontracting organization.
3. Provide PSM functional support and input at an early stage to future and new business activities. Create synergies and integrate new opportunities into existing procurement and subcontracting processes and structure.
4. Ensure the effective establishment of new business including staffing, project plans, deployment of systems, and long-lead item / early-works delivery.
5. Positioning himself / herself as a respected service provider and trusted business partner to the regional management, the business, and the regional project teams.
6. Effectively manage the regional procurement and subcontracting team. That includes building a positive fast-paced spirit and culture, developing a world-class team, and delivering a high-level of sustainable results.
7. Implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with corporate PSM direction, company goals and objectives.
8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
9. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
Show your expertise
10. Degree or equivalent in relevant technical subject
11. Professional experience in senior management positions in the civil engineering sector or similar
12. Several years of procurement/sourcing experience with increasing international responsibility and experience in a matrixed company environment
13. Extensive knowledge of commercial purchasing, construction and professional services subcontracting, and contract law.
14. Understands the project delivery processes (i.e., program management, detailed engineering deliverable documents, construction management needs, construction
15. Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and interact with operations, project, and construction management.
