Our Head Office in Dublin has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Procurement Officer to join our Centralised Procurement Department.
This full-time position is available immediately with a hybrid working schedule.
Based at our Head Office in Dublin, we are looking for a skilled administrator. Ideally, you will have at least 12 months of experience in procurement, business, or financial administration. Of equal importance is that you will have a good attitude and a strong desire to learn and develop.
The successful candidate will be qualified or part-qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in Procurement, Business or Finance. Reporting to the Group Head of Procurement, the role is an important link between suppliers, hotel operations and finance in the procure to pay process. The position requires proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel, with strong analytical and organisational skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
* Managing a team of two, ensuring high performance and productivity.
* Day-to-day operations with an emphasis on quick response times to the hotel units and central functions.
* Sourcing and supply across a wide range of spend categories which includes food, beverage, consumables, service contracts and capital.
* Contract tendering, negotiation, implementation, and management.
* Identification of cost saving opportunities.
* Data analysis and reporting including monitoring mechanisms that identifies savings achieved by category and supplier.
* Developing and building relationships with existing suppliers and creating relationships with new suppliers.
* Communicating to suppliers the needs and expectations of the company and supporting the hotels in monitoring supplier performance in line with KPIs, contractual obligations, and service level agreements.
* Ensuring compliance of established purchasing policies and procedures. Conducting ongoing reviews of same and implement continuous improvements where required.
* Supplier reviews and audits.
* Developing a suitable contract database and protocol for ongoing supplier management including the ongoing creation, rationalisation and management of preferred suppliers highlighting key contracted information.
* Effectively engaging with hotel operations and finance to ensure processes and controls are understood and best practices adhered to. Implementing training programmes where necessary.
* Working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure a smooth workflow within the procure to pay process and lead process and efficiency improvements.
* Assisting in the development and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
* Consulting/working with other senior managers on specific initiatives as required and undertaking any other duties as requested by the senior management.
